If you are in a hurry to start linkbuilding, then there are some “quick wins” to improve your SEO linkbuilding strategy out there. The key is taking the time to use them and benefit from them.
As an example, we have over 2000 member sites in IBL Builder, but over 3000 members. That means that over 1000 people have signed-up but then not bothered to understand its potential for their site, or do but have not bothered to use it. How successful do you think their sites will be if they miss “quick wins” like that?
Avoid falling into the same trap, by investigating the linkbuilding strategies outlined here.
1. Use IBL Builder. Well we would say it, but it is true! IBL Builder is one of the quickest ways there is to build genuine, varied one way backlinks of your choosing. If you have not tried us, you are missing out.
2. SocialAdr. This great member site allows you to signup to over 20 social bookmarking services quickly. You then submit OTHER members submissions using your accounts, and you build up credits for doing so. Your credits then allow your own stories to appear in other people’s accounts for them to share. So you can rapidly build links the more you participate. It is a very similar system to the one we use in IBL Builder.
3. Profile links. This is a way to add your links into profiles you create on membership sites. If done correctly, then this can really boost your link count. There is a great tutorial on it at linkbuildersbible.com
4. Write articles. You can submit articles to sites such as ezine articles to not only get a backlink through the signature of the article, but also to market your niche generally which can generate some clickthrough traffic.
5. Build links through RSS pinging. This is a fast strategy, especially if automated using a tool such as scrapebox. There is a detailed on how to do this in the Linkbuilders Bible 2010, which is an essential purchase for anyone who is serious about their link building.
Off topic for this post, but something I have been following, and if you care about it and our civil liberties then you will be aware of it to.
I cannot believe that the whistleblower (or hacker if you want to give it a negative spin as do the mainstream press who have invested a ton of cash in environmental correspondents over the past few years), has released everything the/she has in one go.
Why? Well two reasons. To cause maximum damage, there has to be more once the initial storm abates. It also acts as an insurance policy and bargaining chip if they get caught.
So for me, this is the first part of what is something that is beginning to smell very bad indeed. Poor and fudged figures used by the politicians to beat half the world into economic servitude while simultaneously giving them carte blanche to tax their own populations into the ground. Hmm, I’m not convinced are you?
If you are, just do a search for one of the leaked documents the “harry read me file” and see how convinced you are then by the figures given to the IPCC by the UEA CRU.
As for global warming, or climate change as I call it because the climate has been changing constantly since the big bang, I prefer to rely on 400 thousand years of evidence in making up my mind rather than 1000 years of fudged data created by a team whose leader, Phil Jones, can write stuff like this:
“I seem to be getting an email a week from skeptics saying where’s the warming gone.I know the warming is on the decadal scale, but it would be nice to wear their smug grins away.”

I found this wonderful clip on YouTube, which shows how Google can be perceived by two people.
I have to say I personally am starting to find the control Google has over the internet pretty scary. The evidence is also that they are harvesting and using a lot more info about you than you can possibly imagine. The scariest bit from a website owners point of view has to be Googles social graph and XFN link developments. Look them up and read – Google is starting to associate you with all sorts of people, websites and neighbourhoods through its own assumptions in many cases. Not good.
For example did you know that Google profiles people involved in the SEO industry? Why? To head off paid linking which Google hates, apparently. Matt Cutts also classifies incentivised linking as having the potential for getting closer scrutiny from Google. Who made them the Police, and what does investigation involve? Well a lot more than you think apparently.
Do a search for Google android phone on ebay, and read all about it. Basically, Google gave away a load of Android phones at a conference earlier this year. Within days they had 50K links to Android. Now it does not take a huge amount of brain power to work out that if you give free phones to people who write online that they will talk about it and Android. Incentivized links? Damn right.
You try the same thing and watch your site plummet if Google finds out.
So enjoy the video, and just think, whatever you *think* Google knows about you and is using, multiply it by 10 and you will come closer to the truth. And ten years down the line it could still be impacting on how you are treated online.

Hi IBL Builder members,
It was reported to me today that we have had to suspend 32 member zones this morning. The reason was that the bot reported them as not displaying agreed outbound links. It took one of my staff two hours to verify that this was the case by visually checking each site.
If you have received a suspended zone message, please act on it and help us to get your zone working for you.
Could I ask everyone who knows they agreed an outbound link, to have a glance at their site and check the links are visible. The reason for asking this is two-fold, firstly to make sure you don't get the hassle of a suspended zone, and secondly so we can check there is not a bigger issue here, such as the automated display option not working for example.
On a happier note, we have today launched a new feature. If you login and visit the "settings" link, you can now enter up to 9 sub-categories into a form and submit it. You will then be notified by email once per day displaying any new zones listed in the member directory for those sub-categories.
This means that you can jump straight in and offer/request links with new members, getting ahead of the queue!
